Expectations
Lanakila tournaments are community-driven events based on cooperation between players and organizers. To ensure events run smoothly, we expect participants to follow a few simple guidelines:
- start rounds on time;
- contact your opponent after pairings are announced;
- report issues to organizers instead of resolving them independently;
- maintain respectful behavior toward other players.
These expectations help events run smoothly and maintain a friendly atmosphere. If you have any questions, organizers and New Player Experience staff are available on Discord.
Guidelines
🤝 Fair Play
Lanakila tournaments are based on fair play. Competitive matches can be intense, so maintaining respectful and honest conduct toward opponents and organizers is especially important.
💬 Tournament Communication
During events, communication takes place on Discord. Participants are expected to be present on the server and respond to organizer announcements. We do not respond to emails or other messages during tournaments. All tournament issues must be resolved during the event — once it ends, results cannot be changed.
🚀 Smooth Start
After a new round is announced, players should contact their opponent and begin the match as soon as possible. Rounds end once all matches are completed. We do not delay new rounds to avoid slowing down the tournament for other participants.
⏱️ Late Arrivals
If your opponent does not appear after the round starts, notify the organizer as soon as possible. In Limitless tournaments, late players may be automatically marked as having lost after a few minutes.
🔧 Technical Issues
In the event of technical issues (such as crashes or disconnects) that interrupt a match, the affected player may be considered to have lost. This is due to the inability to verify the cause of the interruption.
📤 Dropping from the Tournament
If you need to leave the tournament, inform the organizer. We understand this may not always be possible — in such cases, no consequences will be applied.
🧭 Organizer Decisions
In disputed or unforeseen situations, the organizer may make a decision regarding the course of the event.
